Our Story

SAYA's story begins in 2015 when its founder, passionate about natural cosmetics, decided to train herself to create solutions adapted to her own needs.

At that time, she was looking to reduce mosquito bite marks on her legs. Despite using several treatments, the marks persisted and became a real source of self-consciousness. Determined to find a solution, she undertook cosmetic training and developed her very first cream. The results were encouraging: the marks significantly faded.

This initial success marked the beginning of an adventure built on research, passion, and the desire to create natural and effective skincare products.

The founder then turned her attention to the needs of her kinky hair, which was difficult to style and braid. Her wish was to proudly wear her natural hair while preserving its softness, shine, and beauty.

After extensive research and several trials, she developed a cream that softens hair, improves its texture, and makes it softer, shinier, and silkier. The formula was then adapted for children's hair.

Success quickly followed. Parents observed that their children's hair became more supple, easier to style, and simpler to maintain. First marketed in Cameroon under the name Chebe Kid, this cream was adopted by over 10,000 parents for their children's hair care routine.

Today, SAYA continues its development from Quebec with the ambition to introduce its expertise internationally and to offer more women and families natural care adapted to the needs of kinky hair.

SAYA is much more than a haircare brand. It was born from personal experience, a need for adapted solutions, and a deep desire to promote natural beauty.

Its mission is to enhance the identity of Black women by offering natural, effective products designed for kinky hair. Through its products, SAYA aims to encourage Black women and girls to love their hair, wear it with confidence, and proudly celebrate their cultural heritage.
